Our Journey

The International Localization Network (ILN) traces its roots back to a pivotal moment in 2002 when Coral and Randy Johnson embarked on a mission to Bosnia Herzegovina with their family. Working alongside the Evangelical Church and its bible school, they encountered a stark reality: the local church had access to the bible but lacked other critical religious texts, including a Bible concordance. This realization marked the beginning of a profound journey into the world of publishing and material development for underserved communities.

Recognizing the potential of Digital On Demand Publishing for modest print runs, the Johnsons facilitated the translation and publication of essential religious texts into Serbo-Croatian. This initiative not only provided the local church, then only about 1,000 members strong, with much-needed resources but also laid the groundwork for what would become the ILN.

Foundation and Growth

In 2007, with the support of Mike Cavanaugh, pastor of Elim Gospel Church in Lima, NY, and after expanding their efforts beyond Bosnia to countries in Africa, India, and South America, the ILN was officially founded. Our mission has always been to serve the least reached people groups of the world, focusing on those who are often neglected due to the size, language, or accessibility of their community.

Our work has since extended to over 30 countries, bringing books into more than 17 languages in Africa alone. Through partnerships with organizations like Campus Crusade For Christ (now Cru), we have been able to reach even further, impacting lives across the globe.

Current Endeavors

Most recently, the Johnsons have turned their attention to the indigenous communities of the Amazon, focusing on a crucial water filtration project. This initiative highlights ILN’s commitment to not just publishing but also to educational development that promotes behavioral change for health and sustainability.

Our Mission

At ILN, we are dedicated to empowering the least reached through knowledge. We believe in the power of education and the written word to transform lives, communities, and futures. Our work is fueled by a passion for accessibility, ensuring that no community, no matter how remote, is left without the resources they need to thrive.
